Day 12 – A Joyful Celebration

We started our day off by waiting on the van to get jumped. Something we’ve learned is that 10 minutes in Kenya is not quite the same as it is for us. πŸ˜‚ Once the van was running, we went grocery shopping. Each of us wanted certain items to bring home—the sugar here is amazing, and so is the coffee!

After our grocery run, we headed to the Blessed Link Center. We were welcomed with dancing and singing, as today was a celebration! Before we shared about our trip, each of us had to dance to the music around the whole group. The common themes that flowed through all of our hearts were how incredibly welcoming everyone has been and how prayer is woven into everything. Before we left and when we returned, we prayed together.

We celebrated with cake and were even given gifts. As we said our goodbyes, we left something behind—our handprints and signatures on the wall. It was such a special and meaningful moment!

From there, we loaded the van and headed to Ros and Sam’s house. When we arrived, everyone was outside to welcome us. Tables were set up like a banquet in the garden, beautifully decorated. We toured their gorgeous home and then sat down to a delicious dinner—including roasted goat, which surprisingly tasted like pot roast!

It was a sweet evening of fellowship, laughter, and gratitude. What a beautiful way to bring our trip to a close. Truly, this journey has been a gift from God!

The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.
