Day 3 – A Day of Learning, Fellowship, and Worship
Today was filled with simple moments that turned into beautiful lessons. We started the morning with a trip to the grocery store. It was more than just shopping—it was a chance to learn about different foods and brands while stretching our math skills as we worked through the exchange rate π€£.
The girls decided they wanted to bless everyone with a spaghetti dinner, so they eagerly gathered ingredients. Estimating how much pasta to cook for twelve people became its own math challenge—and another great learning opportunity!
After shopping, we had a few hours of rest. The girls took time to catch up on homework, while the rest of us enjoyed some quiet moments to recharge.
This evening, our home came alive with fellowship. The girls began singing with two of the Kenyan ladies who had come by—it was so anointed and Spirit-filled!
Soon, the rest of the team from the center joined us. We shared introductions, lifted our voices in praise and worship, and received a powerful word on unity from Donna. The evening closed with communion, and it was such a deeply special and memorable time together.
God continues to knit our hearts together, teaching us through even the most ordinary of days.
“Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Romans 15:5-6
Such a beautiful experience. Thanks for sharing this -- you all have been in my prayers!
